Common questions

Yes — TalaDesk connects to the official WhatsApp Business API via META. We handle the Business Manager verification and number registration as part of onboarding, so you don't need to navigate META's portal yourself.
There is no hard cap — enterprise clients run 15+ numbers from a single TalaDesk account. Each number is billed at R200/month above the first included number. Numbers typically map to a website, region, or product line.
Conversations are billed per META's standard categories (Service, Utility, Authentication, Marketing). We pass these through at the META rate plus a small margin, invoiced monthly in ZAR at the prevailing USD/ZAR rate. You get a full usage breakdown each month.
TalaDesk runs in any modern browser. Agents can use desktop, laptop, or tablet — no app install required. Mobile browsing works, though a larger screen is recommended for handling multiple concurrent chats comfortably.
After 24 hours of inactivity, you need to send a pre-approved template message to re-open the conversation. TalaDesk has a built-in template sender so agents can do this in two clicks without leaving the dashboard.
Most clients are live within 2 to 3 business days. The timeline depends on how quickly META verifies your Business Manager — once that is done, we configure your numbers and agents the same day.
